From the Heart - quilt by Marilyn

Marilyn started this quilt shortly after she began work on her own recovery, which started with addressing her food issues. Each block is hand appliqued and she hand quilted it. She wrote "As I worked on this quilt, I prayed, cried, sang praises, and prayed some more, so it is very special to me. I actually finished the top and started basting it for the quilting shortly after my husband and I separated. It was a slow process with the quilt and with my recovery, but there was definite progress and healing."

Home to the Hobbits - painting by Cheryl

"I was in my very late 40's the first time I tried to paint. I started painting from within my own self, but soon found I was in prayer. I then realized if I started praying and trusting God to guide me, He used me to make a beautiful painting. So for me personally, it is where I find it the easiest to Let Go and Let God. I am so connected to Him while I paint and now I pray through all my painting."

"The Lily was my first commission painting that I was hired to do; when I was frightened that I may not get it right, I just gave up and let God paint through me, so the lily reminds me that every good thing comes from God."
