• To empower women and give them new hope in Jesus Christ.
• To assist women in regaining and restoring individual mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual balance in their lives.
The origins of NLP began in February, 1997 when a small group of women discovered that, while there were support groups available for sexually addicted men, there was little help for their partners. By the end of that year, the group sharing supportive emails totaled about 15 women.
As differences evolved regarding principles of recovery, the group split and the entity now known as New Life Partners came under the leadership of Cindy (known as "rflectslgt"). With more administrative chores required as more ladies joined, Cindy asked other members to help in various ways, including website managers, greeters, praise and prayer leaders, Bible study leaders, and more.
By 2002, NLP had grown to over 300 members! In April, New Life Partners, Inc. became a non-profit corporation, with a Board of Directors of seven women. In May, our first face-to-face meeting was attended by five board members and three other volunteers.
In March, 2003, we were granted federal 501(c)(3) nonprofit standing. In May, following our first annual corporate board meeting in Texas, we held the first retreat open to all NLP members. We found that when God creates a circle of friends, it is a loving circle indeed.
In September, 2004, our beloved leader and President, Cindy, went to be with the Lord, after a lifetime of disability from a heart defect. We have missed her very much ever since, but NLP continues to follow the vision that God had put upon Cindy's heart for this group.
Those were exciting, early years for NLP. Since then, we have seen many sisters come and go. We have witnessed heartache and despair, brokenness and wounding. We have held up the bleeding with words of encouragement, love, care, and with our many prayers. By the grace of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit we have also seen miracles of healing within individual hearts and minds; some have had to make the tough decisions of separation or divorce and others have experienced restored marriages beyond what they could have imagined. All the glory goes to God our Father.
January, 2024 Sadly, during the last few years we have experienced a lack of activity in NLP and finally, our leadership made the hard decision at the end of 2023 to discontinue our ministry and our corporation. We have donated our remaining assets to Fight for Love Ministries and they will welcome all past and present NLP members! We encourage you to visit their site and to continue your journey with them.
